During periods in which your baby is sick, the fluid intake of the infant should be increased by breastfeeding more frequently and for longer periods.

When the child is ill, you may choose the foods which your child enjoys to increase their appetite. You may also increase the variety of foods and offer a soft food diet.

During the recovery period, to recover the weight lost, encouraged eating should be increased, meals should be more frequent, and the body weight should be monitored. During all such activities, you should not ignore respecting your child’s appetite.
